Dr. Dannellia Gladden Green

Dr. Dannellia Gladden Green is a seasoned leader with strong entrepreneurial instincts. She has demonstrated success in varied professional capacities that include engineering, strategic marketing, contract negotiation, economic inclusion, human capital management, supply chain and general management.

Dr. Danni’s expertise lies in her transformative abilities for driving the strategic planning and operational execution processes while leveraging her core competencies to deliver positive impact across diverse disciplines and industries. Her industry and experiential expertise include Wireless Communications, Consumer Electronics, Device Manufacturing, and Healthcare.

As the founder of SAGEsse Consulting LLC, Dr. Danni’s firm consults in the areas of market strategy and business development. With an industry pedigree that includes semiconductors, consumer electronics, and healthcare, she has held senior leadership roles of increasing complexity, responsibilities and budgets with Texas Instruments, Motorola-Freescale, Dell Computers and Owens & Minor.

In her current capacity as the Executive Director of the Women’s Business Center in Richmond, Dr. Danni stood up this program of the National Institute for Minority Economic Development in January of 2021. Housed on the campus of the historic Virginia Union University, the WBC Richmond is funded in part by the US Small Business Administration. The WBCRichmond seeks to increase the revenue flow by, for, and through women and minority enterprises with an expectation that it will translate into asset attainment within underserved communities. She is also a professor of practice in an adjunct capacity at Virginia Union University.

Additionally, Dr. Danni serves on the board of varied professional and civic organizations across the United States which includes the Association for Women’s Business Centers. She finds a great deal of value in advocating for inclusion and diversity on a global-cultural scale. This perspective is fueled by a passion for
equity and parity as a framework for social entrepreneurialism and corporate responsibility.

Dr. Danni is a summa cum laude graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Engineering Physics; a S.M. in Electronic Materials and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and a doctorate degree in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University. She furthered her studies in the McCombs School of Business’ executive M.B.A. program at the University of Texas in Austin.

Dr. Danni is married to Minister Kelvin L. Green, Sr and together they have four adult children. She is an emerging media personality on ESPNRichmond, an author and poet. In addition to publishing a number of articles and authoring two books, she is currently working on a third that will explore how one’s spiritual journey to enlightenment is key to becoming mission driven and fulfilled.
