Mentor Circle: Finding Success in Healthcare After a Career Change

Written by Professional Women in Healthcare | 01/13/2023

PWH Mentor Circles are a group mentoring program that enables professionals of all levels to come together to discuss and share knowledge on a topic. PWH Mentor Circles are made up of one Circle Leader and 10-15 Circle Members. The Circle Leader ensures the participation of all those members who would like to contribute to each conversation.  PWH Mentor Circles meet two times a month over three months to discuss the chosen topic and may evolve into a longer conversation over time.

It can be challenging to break into a new industry. For many, the real work begins once you have started in a new role. It is often overwhelming to ramp up knowledge, build a new network, and translate existing skills into a new organization. This Mentor Circle will encourage open discussion between individuals making a career transition to share ideas and best practices based on their experiences. Whether changing roles or changing disciplines, Mentor Circle members can expect to gain tools and ideas to aid in navigating the healthcare industry after a career transition.
