In February, PWH hosted something new—our very first Podcast Debrief, a quick, conversation driven session designed to spark personal and professional growth. What unfolded was far more powerful than a discussion about a podcast. It became a space where women across the healthcare industry connected deeply, shared openly, and left feeling more aligned, encouraged, and grounded.
With 16 attendees from a wide variety of companies and roles, the conversation proved just how diverse our experiences are—but also how much we have in common. Titles, departments, and career stages may differ, yet so many of us are asking similar questions:
How do I know if I’m truly living in my values?
When do I feel the strongest sense of contentment?
What does it look like to lead with authenticity—even when no one calls me a “leader”?
Inspired by themes from Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead and insights from Adam Grant, we collectively explored the truth that we all lead at some level—and we can only grow, personally or professionally, when that leadership is rooted in our core values.
One participant summed it up perfectly:
“Get your core muscles strong, or it just creates dysfunction.”
The same applies to our inner life. When our body, mind, and heart are competing, the result is chaos. But when we anchor ourselves in our values—and actually live them—we gain:
Enhanced focus
Greater innovation and efficiency
Higher engagement
Better stress management and lower burnout
A renewed sense of purpose
Stronger collaboration
The ability to be a role model
Clearer decisions
And a noticeable boost in personal output
We also shared resources that resonated, including Brené Brown’s List of Values, which became a meaningful tool for self reflection:

What stood out most was not just the content—but the supportive, encouraging environment created by the women in the (virtual) room. Participants engaged actively, both in the chat and out loud, offering perspectives shaped by their unique backgrounds. Despite coming from different corners of the industry, the sense of connection was unmistakable. We were learning from each other. We were lifting each other. We were growing together.
And this is exactly what the Podcast Debrief series is designed to do:
Create quick, meaningful touchpoints that facilitate real growth.
What’s Next?
The energy from this first session made one thing clear—we’re just getting started.
PWH plans to host more Podcast Debriefs throughout the year, each one offering new insights, fresh discussions, and opportunities to connect with incredible women across the industry.
Stay tuned for upcoming dates—we’d love to see you at the next one. Together, we’ll keep learning, grounding ourselves, and growing stronger as leaders.
