Melanie is a consultant with Silver Lining Apparel in Los Angeles California and continues to pursue her completion degree in nursing. She is a certified value analysis healthcare professional (CVAHP) and an active member of the Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals. Melanie is a team-oriented nursing professional, experienced in direct patient care, peri-operative care management, and materials management with strong focus on value analysis, linen management, sterile processing and supply chain management.

Beth has twenty years of clinical and management experience in Med Surg and Cardiology at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, five years of IT Clinical Project Management with Iowa Health System, six years in Materials and Logistics at Iowa Health Des Moines and Allen Hospital( Employed by Service Master/Aramark for a four-year period) and eight years as Director of Clinical Value Analysis and Pharmaceutical Contracting for Iowa Health System. Director of Clinical Value Analysis for UnityPoint Health for three years before retiring in April of 2016. Her focus was to standardize the Value Analysis process throughout UnityPoint Health. As Director of Clinical Value Analysis she was responsible to convince end-user groups to validate the functional acceptability of products and equipment before making a contractual commitment. She worked with Novation Value Analysis professionals to develop a web orientation to introduce the system-wide management team to the value analysis process for Unity Point Health and worked with clinicians to identify evidence-based “best practice” to make informed decisions and lay the groundwork for performance tracking.
She has been a member of the association AHVAP for eleven years, where she has served as secretary and president and was a member of the team that developed the Healthcare Value Analysis Certification curriculum, testing, and CVAHP handbook. She also served on the editorial board of the CR Bard Publication, Value Analysis & Standardization Newsletter.
Beth is a Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee., has an Associates Degree in Nursing from St Francis Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences from the College of St Francis and is a 2016 Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP)
