Mike DePalma is equal parts entrepreneur, passionate innovator, futurist, and technologist. A neurobiologist by education, but a technologist by vocation, he holds several US Patents and has developed software and technologies used in over 40 countries worldwide. He is the President of M3 Health, a software and Technology firm that focuses on enhancing human interaction through technology. Michael is also the Co-Founder of The Human API, Co-Founder and Technology and Engagement Editor at Brainfoodtv.com, a TEDx Speaker and TEDx Organizer.

Carmel Veron is a multi-awarded professional in the healthcare industry. Her passion and no holds barred approach to life is something that many people admire about her. Carmel is currently the Vice President of Critical Care Sales with BBraun Medical Company and has been with the company for 20 years. Since then, she has garnered many awards for her successes, including the prestigious B.Braun Chairman's Award in 2007. Her previous achievements include becoming a Media Dietician with KATC-TV (ABS affiliate), becoming a Lousiana State Legislation Volunteer Lobbyist for Bacterial Meningitis Legislation and even running a half-marathon and becoming the #2 Individual fundraiser for Children's Hospital of New Orleans. She has mentored many professionals, and is also a member of Professional Women in Healthcare. One of her proudest achievements is being a part of a family, married to Kent for 31 years and mother to Bryce (28 years) and Sydney Frances (24 years).

Eve Tannery joined the WFMZ news team in September of 2005. You can catch her anchoring 69 News at Sunrise and 69 News at Noon with Jaciel Cordoba on Monday through Friday. Eve's responsible for daily guest segments on the morning show, and she has created and produced segments like "Music Monday," "Ask the Anchors," "Up and Atom Science," and "Early Risin' with Eve," to name a few. She's also heavily involved in charity work in and around the Lehigh Valley, and she is an avid supporter of Cops 'n' Kids, The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, The State Theatre, Go Red for Women, Child Care Information Services, and other organizations that support both of our local hospitals. Eve got her start at WBOC, a CBS affiliate based out of Salisbury, MD. During her time at WBOC, Eve worked as a General Assignment Reporter out of the Dover, Delaware, newsroom and filled in as both an anchor and producer. At WBOC, Eve won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award and an Associated Press Award for continuing coverage of the Delaware Department of Correction Hostage Investigation. Her station also submitted her work on the same story for a Peabody Award consideration.

Christine DuBorg, Sr. Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility of Olympus Corporation of the Americas 

Christine Duborg has held roles of increasing responsibility within the healthcare industry over the last 14 years. She joined Olympus in 2008 serving first in Sales Training for its Medical business where Christine educated sales, field service and distributor personnel from North and South America on the safe and effective use of the company's medical device portfolio. She eventually chose to transition to a strategic position as a Marketing Manager in the Endoscopy division overseeing the company's flagship medical imaging solutions. Currently, she serves as the Senior Manager of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)  team, leading corporate giving initiatives, community relations, and employee engagement across the company's 40+ locations in the Americas.

Prior to joining Olympus, Christine worked in the pharmaceutical industry in both sales and management roles. Her roles at GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson and Alcon Laboratories spanned various healthcare specialties and practice/institution types. 

Christine serves as Board Member for the The Coco Foundation. She currently resides, with her husband and two children, in the Lehigh Valley.

Caryn Dashukewich, Corporate Vice President, 

Human Resources of OlympusCorporation of the Americas

Caryn Dashukewich is a seasoned human resources professional with over 20 years of experience. She joined Olympus in 2006 as the Director of HR for its Medical Systems Group and currently serves as the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources for all of its businesses within the U.S., Canada and Latin America. The HR team, under Caryn’s leadership, is responsible for organizational development, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, employee services and all other facets of managing the company’s human capital.

Prior to joining Olympus, Caryn worked in the Telecommunications and Electric Utility industries. In addition to her current role at Olympus, Caryn serves as Board Member for the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.  She currently resides, with her husband and two sons, in the Lehigh Valley.


David Banko, Director of Health Economic & Outcomes Research of BBraun Medical Inc.
 

Mr. Banko is Director, Health Economics  and  Outcomes Research at B. Braun Medical, Inc.  located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.   He is responsible for identifying strategies to leverage health economics and outcomes studies across the breadth of  B. Braun’s portfolio resulting in the differentiation of their products in a highly competitive market.  Mr. Banko partners with all levels of the Organization to develop an optimized evidence generation plan ensuring widespread adoption of their innovative products upon commercialization.

Mr. Banko brings over 20-years of medical device, diagnostics and hospital finance experience to B. Braun Medical, Inc.  Most recently, he spent 12 years working with two operating companies that were part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies.  During his time with J&J, he successfully leveraged outcomes evidence to shape Medicare’s National medical coverage and reimbursement policies and developed programs to assist hospitals and physicians in securing market access from Medicare and other third-party payors for FDA approved emerging medical device technologies. 

He has lead efforts in developing responses to payer’s Health Technology Assessments (HTAs) and in educating internal business partners on the implications of major policy shifts such as Medicare’s bundled payment initiatives, comparative (cost) effectiveness and gainsharing.

Mr. Banko gained extensive experience in health care finance and reimbursement working with healthcare systems in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  

He received a B.S. degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Scranton and a M.S. degree in Finance from King’s College.   Mr. Banko is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Pennsylvania.
